The Incredible Hulk: Why the Spin-Offs Failed
Some of the cast even admit that all the kids back then were screwing each other lol. The porn parody was probably the most accurate lol.
The Brady Bunch spin-offs here in Australia were extremely popular. They didn't "fail".
Lewis was 11 Playing 6? when the show started... and while his 'condition' kept him short he was very clearly NOT 12 when the show was coming up on the last episodes...
Those damn Asian kids and their...their...Math! And the black kids with their ...jive talk and basketballs! OUTRAGEOUS!
Okay what was number 1 ?
The Jerry Springer Show.
Eve Plumb was the only smart one of the cast, opting to skip it. I was about 10 when this aired and even at that age, I could tell that it was just horrible. It was trying to be like the Donny & Marie Show or Sonny & Cher Show, but it lacked…talent. They weren’t good singers, they weren’t good dancers, and the writing was awful. I feel embarrassed for them when I watch it - I can only imagine how embarrassed they were to be doing that garbage on the set.
Tichina deserves recognition and higher pay for her work in classic TV shows such as One-on-One and Everybody Hates Chris.
😅😅😅😅
I'll always take practical effects over cgi any day. Example: the original Jaws vs a movie like Deep blue sea. I will say, however, that the cgi Great white in The Shallows was pretty good.
I became an Elm Street/Freddy fanatic in 1987...just in time for the Freddy-mania of the late 80's(I'm still a fanatic to this day). As a teen,I loved it. But I do remember in issues of Fangoria they had quite a few articles about Freddy not being scary anymore(this was in 1988). Dream warriors is my all time favorite movie in the series, but I do prefer my Freddy scary and brutal, with a dark sense of humor...which part 3 captured perfectly. Like you've said, things like this happen to all horror icons, but with Freddy it was much easier for New Line to cash in because unlike Jason or Michael,Freddy not only talked but had a personality. And as much as I love Robert Englund,I don't think he really took the character seriously, like maybe Kane Hodder did with Jason.
Robert Reed and Todd Lookinland also guest starred on Wonder Woman.
You did not just call Jerry Orbach "The dad from Dirty Dancing" as if that were his only credit worth mentioning. You put some respect on Det. Lennie Briscoe's name for God's sake 🤣 He did not play one of New York's finnest in Law & Order for him to be just called "the dad from Dirty Dancing" 🤣
I remember this... ya it was bad. I'd put Love American Style #1 though.
OMG
Extremely entertaining, informative, and well made video!
It's like the entire '70s was one big LSD trip.
Marsha Marsha Marsha!
Alien a little like creatire and jaws
10:19 so Quincy basically
Yes. Pretty much Quincy.
9:10 admittedly this is the one I’m the saddest didn’t get made into a series
Yeah, this could've been great. I can imagine it only lasting one season and being a critical favorite showing up on lists of brilliant shows that no one is watching. Too bad.
We had it so good back then. A fledgling JLA with a Green Arrow who isn't a broody bitch the whole time, and an Aquaman who... also wasn't a broody bitch the whole time.
Trolling me Braaaa...
No Sir. Jaws was based on a real life bullshark attack that ran up the river and ate a few kids.
Check your history Bro...
1916 Shark Attack in New York state. That was the inspiration!
Do not forget the book
Ever hear of Planet of the Apes?
Help! The human’s about to escape
Most influential animal attack film ever? Way to forget Jurassic Park and The Lost World.
Fall Guy the original was one of the better shows of it's time. Similar to a Dukes of Hazzard. Ahh a time when men were men and entertainment was entertainment. Unlike today with Hollywood's lack of originality and activism.
It was one of my guilty pleasures.
Treasure Of The Four Crowns 3D Indiana Jones Type Movie 🍿🎥
Close Encounters Made More $$$ Overall 😊
Like the inclusion of the the amazing screw on head pilot
Calling Jaws 3D “non-comedic” is a bit of a stretch.
No. Its not.
Great stuff! I love this type of content...
I'm sorry. But Hogan's Heroes was among the best TV had to offer.
Too bad Universal didn't make Jaws vs The Creature from the Black Lagoon ! That could've revived both franchises!😂
Jaws 3 People 0 could've been AWESOME! Same old story great ideas get spiked for lame rehash crap.
Ngl i loved Jaws 3d
To paraphrase a Reese's Peanut Butter Cups tagline: "There's no wrong way to enjoy a movie." I'm a sucker for shark movies, so I cannot judge someone else given how many times I've watched JERSEY SHORE SHARK ATTACK.
In that Soap scene, I Though she said Homeless-Sexual. I laugh, but thought for a while what that could be. A Sex active Homeless person? Something I rather not see in real life, but in porn world….it could work.
Dumb move on there part Jim Breuer was Chappelles actual friend
Was at Universal Florida last year and was sad to see Jaws didn't have much of a presence, even in the gift shop. I hope Universal does a wide theatrical release and celebration for the 50th anniversary in 2025
That's a real shame. I went on the JAWS ride back in '04 and it was the highlight of my visit. After being on so many rides that were just sitting in a movie theater and watching a screen, it was exciting to be out on the water. I bet there will be something big for the 50th. A few theaters near me are showing it on 4th of July weekend, I'm seeing it at a local Drive-In.
As a kid in the 80s, I was very familiar with Freddy and Jason despite being a small child who had never seen any of their movies. Looking back, it was really weird that these characters were marketed to kids, but it just seemed normal to me back then. But I had never heard of other characters like Leatherface or The Toxic Avenger. When Toxic Avengers came out, I had no idea it was a spin-off of a not at all child friendly movie.
So true. Years ago I interviewed Lloyd Kaufman at the opening night of TOXIC AVENGER: THE MUSICAL and he made a joke about it being the only musical based on a movie where a child gets killed by having his head run over by a car. (Or words to that effect.)
Beyond the backdoor, that's GREAT REED would know all about that.
There is one flaw that I am noticing about your comparison. The shark in Jaws 3-D that is brought in by the scientists is the child of the Killer shark which had been trapped in the parks water intake pipes. The Juvenile shark dies while the scientists are trying to acclimate it.
Yes, this is a fair critique. I appreciate the people who remember JAWS 3 plot details coming out to share their knowledge. Thank you.
@@atomicabe I did enjoy the video though, and I did see all the other comparisons you pointed out.
That was cool never that
thanks for keeping an open mind. You're all right, Kyle.
@@atomicabe Dude I wish movies could be like this again. I can't remember the last time I got hyped for a film laughs. Jaws scared the crap outta me as a little kid I remember I was scared of the pool at night haha
Jaws was based on the real life shark attacks on new jersey 1916 but aight I’ll hear you out. I got a coffee
High on coke eh??? Well - she was probably in the majority. 😮
9 episodes too many.
The 1995 Brady Bunch Movie was the best by a mile after the show ended in 1974.
The movie is great. p.s. I love your Monty Python handle!
A f it was 9 too many
